Skate Sphere started with a simple mission: to bring the joy of skateboarding to more people across India. Born from our own passion for skating, we’ve grown from a small idea into a thriving business, offering the best boards and gear for every rider. Our story is one of dedication, innovation, and a relentless commitment to helping skaters push their limits.

Crafting a skateboard is a process of precision and creativity, beginning with the selection of high-quality wood, usually maple, known for its durability and flexibility. The wood is pressed together in multiple layers to form the deck, giving it strength without sacrificing its lightweight nature. Each deck is shaped using molds that define the concave and tail/nose curvature, essential for control during tricks and maneuvers. Once the deck is shaped, it moves on to the sanding and smoothing phase. Every edge is carefully refined to ensure there are no rough spots that could interfere with performance or cause discomfort while riding. Afterward, custom designs and graphics are added, giving each skateboard its unique look. This step allows brands to showcase their creativity, aligning the deck’s aesthetics with skaters' personalities. Finally, the hardware is assembled—trucks, wheels, and bearings are attached to bring the skateboard to life. The right combination of components ensures a smooth ride and precise control. Each skateboard is tested for quality to meet the standards of both casual riders and professional skaters, ready to hit the streets or the park with reliability and style.

The Story of Our Store

Skate Sphere began as a small local shop in Mumbai back in 2015. What started as a passion for skating soon transformed into a full-fledged business, driven by the ever-growing skateboarding community in India. Our founder, Arjun Mehta, saw a gap in the market for high-quality boards that catered to both beginners and pros. This realization sparked the creation of Skate Sphere, and since then, we've been pushing the boundaries of skateboard craftsmanship and design.

By 2018, we expanded our operations to include online sales, making it easier for skaters across India to access premium products. Our commitment to quality and community kept us growing, and by 2020, we had launched our own line of custom-designed boards, gaining a loyal following across the country.

The skateboarding scene in India is still relatively young, but we’re proud to be part of its rapid growth. Our store doesn't just sell skateboards—we support the local community by organizing events, competitions, and workshops to help new skaters improve their skills and confidence on the board.

Over the years, Skate Sphere has become more than just a store; it’s a hub for creativity, sport, and connection. Today, in 2024, we have thousands of satisfied customers and have shipped products to every corner of India.
